Description

Ditch summer school and come into the CulinaryLab! This two day teen workshop (ages 13-17) will have you rollin’ in dough in no time!

Day 1: Students will discover the best recipes for pizza dough, create custom sauces and learn tried-and-tested pizza topping combinations. Utilizing stones and a cake pan for that delicious deep dish!
Day 2: Students will learn techniques on creating the perfect pie crusts and working with custard and fruit fillings. So come join us and let’s get in the kitchen…. Because everything with a crust is a MUST!

Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Total: 4 hours each day

Location: 4th Street Market in Santa Ana

Teens of all skill levels will be able to keep up in this class. (ages 13-17)

Day 1:

  • Dough making, understanding gluten development and rising
  • Making pizza sauce
  • Preparing chicken
  • Meal preparation and thinking ahead

Day 2:

  • Creation of different crust variations – flaky butter & cookie crust
  • Crust design and finishing decorations
  • Pie baking techniques
  • Cooked fruit fillings
  • Baked custards

Menu

Day 1:

  • Classic Style Pizza | BBQ Chicken, Red Onion, and Cilantro
  • Margarita Style Pizza | Mozzarella, Basil, and Romesco
  • Create your own | Make your own with an assortment of toppings

Day 2:

  • Berry Peach Lattice Pie | All Butter Crust
  • Chocolate Banana Cream Pie | Cookie Crust

We understand that “life happens”, and that you may not be able to make it to class. Because we purchase food, schedule staff, and fill spaces for our classes in advance, it’s important that you let us know ASAP if you won’t be able to make it. Below is our refund policy:

Cancellations more than 2 weeks in advance of the first class: Full refund
Cancellations 6 to 14 days in advance of the first class: Class credit
Cancellations 5 days or less: No refund or credit available, but you can send a friend in your place

Refunds will be processed within 15 days of refund request.

What to Wear & Bring

What to Wear
For safety reasons, please wear pants, close-toed shoes with rubber soles, no long dangling jewelry, and have long hair either tied back or covered.

We’ve got you covered! You just bring you, and we’ll handle aprons, towels, tools, recipes, pens, and the rest.
